Wyoming Moose Hunting
In Wyoming, all moose hunters are subject to the draw, which generally takes between four and six preference points to obtain a tag. You may also purchase a commissioner or governor’s tag if you want to avoid the chance of missing out through the draw. Our Wyoming ranches are a great place to hunt for large bulls, with many trophy animals harvested each year.
The Shiras moose hunt season dates are September 1st through the 30th for archery and October 1st through November 20th for rifle. Our guided hunts consists of five consecutive hunting days with food and lodging included. Moose hunters fly into SLC International Airport, rent a car, and make the 2-½ hr drive to the ranch. The R & K Hunting Company hunts the Wyoming moose hunt in unit 27.
