The Rocky Mountains are home to moose—Shiras moose, to be precise. This smaller subspecies offers a gorgeous elk-like hunting experience in the high country. Drawing a tag for Shiras moose is often considered to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; however, that’s not the case with R&K Hunting Company.
As one of the top moose hunting outfitters in Utah, we are able to obtain guaranteed tags and permits through the Utah CWMU (a cooperative wildlife unit program). These permits and tags are limited and go fast, so those interested in booking this marvelous hunt should do so as early as possible. Over the last 20 years, our Utah-guided moose hunting trips have had nearly a 100% harvest rate.
If you’re looking to hunt moose in Wyoming, you must obtain a Unit-27 permit or Governor permit to do so. We offer guided hunting trips on private land for those who have already obtained one of these permits.
